Doug is still out west enjoying his family while sight-seeing in his RV. Which means you'll have to put up with my rambling prose for the week. Looking out the window of my family room as I compose this, I realize how lucky we were yesterday to end up with the incredibly good weather (temp and humidity) we had on one of the premier courses we play in our 28 week long season. Doug would have really enjoyed these fairways because they let the ball "sit up" and weren't scalped to within a quarter inch of bare dirt. And a bit thanks to all that played yesterday for fixing ball marks on the greens (if you were fortunate enough to hit a green). I normally have no trouble finding 5 or 6 ball marks to repair on the greens, but yesterday I could only find the ones my playing partners made with their approaches. I was dutifully careful to avoid hitting the greens with my ball since I didn't want to mar this lovely course......yeah, right!!

On to the results for the 116 of us lucky enough to enjoy the day and the course. The playoff hole ended up being #16.
