94 of us were at Forest Park and enjoying a great day of golf. The weather cooperated by clouding up as the sun started heating things up and a slight breeze kept us all relatively comfortable. The course was in its customary fine shape with the exception of some well pock-marked greens (a by-product of being a frequently played public course). We averaged a good 6 to 8 repairs on every green. There were some rally tough pin placements on the peaks of ridges, on the slopes leading up to those ridges and of course tucked closely behind the greenside bunkers. All that being said we still managed some great scores with only one team over par.

Since we had less than 100 players we only paid out the top three places in each of the four flights.

Results:The playoff hole was #8 on Redbud

Flight "A"

All winners shot a 10 under par 60

In First was the Max Saunders, Tom Braun, Dan Fergus and John O’toole team. Note an incorrectly recorded score card almost cost them this win. Which brings up a continuing problem, incorrect scoring. Please have players in each cart score your round and then do a hole by hole comparison of those scores before turning in your cards. We, the score recorders, can only input what you have written on your cards.

In Second was the team of Ed Boyer, Jack Eckhard, Ken Knaar and Karson Kosowski (the odds on favorite to win).

In Third was the team of Paul Rivard, Mike Devereaux, Dave Page and Rick Hastings.

Also in A flight and out of the winners circle were the teams of Joe Pfeiter (61), Bob Checkley (62), Rich Graef (63) and Bob Thibodeaux (63).
