We fielded 113 players, including sons, grandsons, and son-in-laws for this belated father's day outing at Oak Brook. The weather cooperated, albeit a bit on the humid side, and even the sun gave us a break for most of the round. Near the end a nice prairie wind settled in and we had to go down/up a few clubs to make our games normal again. But, a great time was had by all and we finished up with a nice lunch at a good price.

The fairways were extremely generous and the greens ran pretty true, although gravity seemed to play extreme havoc with our putts and we misfired on far, far too many makeables. Our problem was not getting to the greens, our problem was knowing what to do once we got there.

This writeup will be abbreviated because as of Sunday yours truly is embarking on a 2-week RV trip and tomorrow morning early I've got to go pick up said vehicle and prep it for another journey to wherever the wind blows. And if you can hit from the forward tees, because of age, RV's are getting heavier and heavier to pick up each year.

So, without further ado, here are the results. Oh, by the way, thanks to all for being patient with the scoring results. Fortunately Ed de la Pena and I were lucky enough to overcome the 7000 decibel level of chatter after the round and successfully record each and every team's score to come up with these overly fair results.

Results: The playoff hole was #15 and since we started on #8 and the course is laid out a bit differently I couldn't possibly tell you which hole #15 was.
