Doug is off exploring the great expanse of this country in his RV so I will try, futile as it might be, to relate the results of our outing at Belk Park.

The "breeze", blowing at about 30 mph kept the course from heating up too awfully, but did make for some interesting approaches to some nice greens that seemed to be laden with subtle, imperceptible breaks around every hole. And if that weren’t enough, they seemed to never break the same way twice.

Other than some dry and hard tee boxes the course seemed to be in great shape and with the loss of a bunch of trees a couple of years ago seemed to be even more open than before (the aforementioned breeze was able to “flow” undaunted).
