Doug Nolte, our usual scribe for these postings, is taking a little time off so you will have endure my attempts at conveying the results of yesterday's outing.

Doug usually starts with a description of his take on the course and it's playability, I will attempt the same.

Beautiful course that is probably one of the more challenging venues we attempt to bring to its knees. Narrow fairways, thick rough and subtly breaking greens all add up to challenging.

I know my group, even though we didn't have a single bogie, had 17 first putts, none of which were less than 15 feet. Thanks goodness the second putts were tap-ins. Yes, we played all 18 holes but were lucky enough not to have to putt on #11 since we managed a slam dunk hole-in-one. Just goes to show it is possible for any one of you especially since I was the fortunate purveyor of the shot (103 yds, over the lake with a pitching wedge). It was my first, after many, many, many attempts over the years.
