For all of you who could not see fit to play today: You missed one of the finer days we have had this year, the course was in great shape, the greens were NOT burned out (like they have been on other venues we've played) and to top it off we had a great lunch of bbq beef brisket, chips and a soft drink for a mere $5.50. Again, for those who missed it today, I'm sure glad I wasn't you !!!!
Gents, we only had 81 players make it to the course today. One of our worst turnouts of the year. Due to the lack of participation the last few weeks, we are opening up the league to new players who are willing to play golf on a regular basis. Having fewer than 100 players every week affects a number of things for this league such as the # of comp rounds (we use the money from this to help reduce costs at the final outing and to add cash to our give-aways) whether we get the full course for a shotgun start or have to get crowded onto fewer than 18 starting holes, etc. If you know of golfers who will play on a regular basis, want to have some fun with other "old crones" have them send me their contact information consisting of name, street address, email address and phone number along with age (so I know which tee to assign them). Note that all players must be 55 or more experienced.
