It started as a beautiful Monday morning when 111 players left for their starting holes. We were off the cart paths and ready to enjoy this excellent course that many like so much. We were playing the Woodlands and Prairie courses because the Meramec course (normally played)had standing water on some holes. Everything was going great for at least four hours when out of the blue dark clouds appeared and we were hit with a torrential downpour. Some headed for cover at the clubhouse others took cover under trees. Eventually everyone made it back to the clubhouse and we called and end to the outing. Teams who didn't finish were awarded par for the holes not completed with two holes being the magic number uncompleted although a few teams did complete all eighteen.
