This one will be short because there's really not much to report. The final tally for the day was 99 players who thought they just might get in a round of golf at a pretty nice course - wrong. Depending on the team, we played between 8 and 10 holes before the horn sounded bringing us back into the clubhouse to decide our fate. The superintendent of the course told us that it would be between an hour and an hour and a half before we could venture out again. Without any real grumbling being heard from the group, the committee members present decided to call it a day and to refund some of the money.

For our group it was a godsend. We unanimously agreed that none of us had ever seen 4 adults put together such a miserable game of golf in our lives. Every aspect of our game would've had to really improve to attain the suck level. The only memorable features were two magnificent 3-wood shots by Don Moschenross that kept us from absolute misery and downright hilarity. Thanks Don for those 2 moments.

So, with nothing significant to report about the soggy day, it's time for a special reminder. If you remember at checkin we asked about your attendance at a special makeup outing at Oak Brook, which we couldn't make on the 18th of June because of, guess what, the rain.

If you were not at Sunset Hills today, or if you can't remember your commitment for Oak Brook on Thursday, the 30th of July , kindly let me know (nolted@att.net) one way or the other as soon as you can. And remember, we also have The Legends on Monday the 27th of July, so there are two outings that week.
