Last Thursday morning we had just loaded our golf gear on the bus and some were enjoying a nice sugary donut, I turned the key in the ignition and the battery was dead!!!!! The first time in over ten years that the good old Hawk Ridge bus has failed me. Tom Gill and John O'Toole volunteered to drive so we could carpool to the course. The only other mishap is when we drove past the turnoff to pickup two additional riders, Jerry White and Jim Dwyer who waited a reasonable time and then drove themselves. The Gateway outing this year was much nicer than last year went we started and then were hit with a ton of water and canceled. The tee boxes, fairway's and green's were in fine shape it was those long secretly placed par 3's that baffled our group and we managed to bogey three of them.
