Hi All,

Doug Nolte was not with us yesterday, he was on assignment elsewhere and "Randy Pratt" volunteered to prepare the results that follow;

We couldn't have asked for a nicer day (weather wise) or a course in better shape. Both combined to give us one of the best days of the year for hitting the links. This is the first time we played this course when the rough wasn't "ball-hawking" any and all wayward shots. It was actually cut at a length that allowed one to find those errant shots that happened only on occasion. The greens were a little pitted, but held shots nicely and rolled fairly true. My team must have gone to night school, because we couldn't read a green during the day to save our poor-putting souls. The scorecard playoff hole was hole #16.

Results:

Flight A

First place in A flight was the team of Doug Torrie, Alvin Rosenberg, Steve Comfort and Mr. "gotta love those forward tees" Tom Murphy who likely put on a "driving performance" to finish with a 63.

Second shooting a 64 was the highly stacked and odds-on-favorites of Jack Eckhard, John Tipton, Pete Grouzos and John Boyd.

Third place by virtue of winning the scorecard playoff and shooting 65 was the Dave Gillett team of Lee Readus, Roger Danielson and Ed Boyer.

Losing the score card playoff but shooting 65 was the Frank Greening team.

The Bob Pankey team shot a 66

the teams of John Dierker, Jim Hawkes and Ed de la Pena all shot 67's.

The rest of C flight consisted of 4 teams shooting 71's and one shooting a 73. All 5 teams must of had some ugly sisters since all of them managed to avoid kissing their sisters by a single stroke. The 71's were shot by the Art Soble team, Dee Ridenhour team, Paul Pals team and the Harry Trammel team. The Dan Snowden team managed the one over 73.
